I was introduced to the World of Harry Potter in November of 2001. The first movie had just been released in the movie theater and I was tutoring a 11 year old boy in reading. He had just seen the movie and really liked it. So to get him reading I had him start reading the first book. By me being the teacher, that meant that I had to see the movie and read the book also. We then compared the book to the movie, so that I could see that he understood what he had read.... We both agreed the the book was better then the movie... We then started reading the 2nd book while waiting for the next movie to come out. After that I just had to read the rest of them. In 2007 I went to the Barne's & Noble Book Release party for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I had pre-ordered the book. My best friend, Jenny, had talked me into dressing up and entering the Costume Contest. She went as Tonks and I chose to go as Molly Weasley.... Short, dumpy red-head.... that is me!!! I won 3rd place and received my copy of the book for free. I own all seven books in hardcover and all eight movies on DVD. I am planning a trip to Orlando Florida to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. My favorite character is Sirius Black... I cried when he died in the book and I cried again during the movie. ​My second favorite character is Molly Weasley.
